Summer Reading 2021 -- Middle School: Required Reading

Welcome to St. Luke's!  

All incoming fifth graders should read at least three books independently this summer.  In August, please read The Lion of Mars by Jennifer L. Holm, which will be discussed and referred to as we build community throughout the year.  The other two (or more) books can be the student's choice.  

Welcome to 6th Grade!

All incoming sixth graders should read at least three books independently this summer.  In August, please read We're Not From Here by Geoff Rodkey, which will be discussed and referred to in the fall.  The other two (or more) books can be the student's choice.

***Please note, there is a similar young adult book titled We Are Not From Here, make sure you look for the contraction We're in the title and check the author's name, the 7th grade book is by Geoff Rodkey***

Welcome to 7th Grade!
